Baby Cheapskate has a line into gDiapers again this week:

Gaiam has the gDiaper Starter kit plus an extra pair of gPants and three extra liners (for a total of 6 liners) for $34.99. That’s a great deal, but it gets better, if you go through Mr. Rebates, you get 10% back. There is also the coupon code AFSHP3 to get free shipping as long as you spend $25 or more. Another coupon code is for 15% off, which is A315. If you are only buying one starter kit, then it is better to get the free shipping. If you’re buying two, then 15% off is better.

I do need starter kits! However, I don’t need them now. I wonder if never buying disosables even for outings again would be enough to convinve Mr Sage that we ought to take advantage of this deal. I don’t love the starter kit covers, so maybe I’ll try my luck on eBay instead.

Can you bear to see anymore crush-inducing pillows? Check out these cute etsy vintage fabric whales, via ohdeeoh!

An absolute steal for $18 each at Kate Durkin.

sage finds: march 10

A couple of very nice special offers and freebies right now, enough to merit a special (or just belated?) sage finds on a Tuesday.

Earthbound Organic Farm is giving away free packets of organic lettuce seeds. I’ve never tried growing lettuce, so I’m excited to give it a shot.

#fullpost{display:inline;}

Baby Cheapskate shares a free Eric Carle Growth Chart from YoBaby.

Yo Baby is giving away “Up Up I Go” growth charts by Eric Carle. Just take a quick, one-time survey (maybe a minute long) and enter four UPCs from specially-marked online. S&H is $2.99. List price is $12.95. The chart sells at Amazon for about $10. Details and sign up here. While supplies last. Ends 4/30.

Coupon Cravings has the details on how Target is practically giving away applesauce this week:

Head on over to Target to get a 4-pack of Mott’s Applesauce for $.30 or less. Print out this $1/1 Target printable coupon and pair with this $.55/1 printable coupon from the Mott’s site. The everyday price on this applesauce at Target ranges between $1.55-$1.85 depending on where you live.

Cookie Magazine’s nesting blog has a coupon code for 20% off organic natural fiber pillows from print*pattern*paper. At $65 for 3 pillows, the price then becomes $52 for 3, or about $17 each. Makes me want to do some spring redecorating. (Maybe especially because our kitchen and family room have that exact color on the walls?)

My big plan for when the trio start daycare in the fall is to send them in gDiapers. Until then, I’m collecting information and maybe looking to buy some on sale or with coupons. I was thrilled to see Baby Cheapskate mention them:

Collect and send in 10 UPCs from gDiapers items through the end of 2009 and receive your choice of a free pair of Little gPants, a package of refills, or $16 worth of gDiapers coupons. You can also choose an equivalent donation to Healthy Child Healthy World. Download more info (.pdf). You can learn more about gDiapers here, and check out our review of them here.

Right now, one way in which organic simply does not cost more

I was struck by this weekly round up of deals at Baby Cheapskate:

Formula, Milk and Food
Cans of Enfamil and Similac are $22.99 at CVS. Earth’s Best organic formula is cheap again at Amazon. Under $22 for the big can, shipped. Two-packs of Gerber 1st foods are .89 at Target. Kroger has 6 oz. jars of Gerber baby food for .67.

So right now, Earth’s Best is $22 for 25.7 ounces and Enfamil and Similac are $23 for 23.2 ounces or whatever random size those new tubs are. If you are thinking about making the switch to organic formula, now is the time!

Look, it’s me! Hi! Let’s see what post I can squeeze out before the end of nap time…

Earth’s Best baby food is on sale through tomorrow at Amazon. All of the sale details for up to 30% off are spelled out at the site. I know my price-per-jar very well, and this works out to be about comprable to the best price I’ve seen on the shelves when also combined with a $1/10 jars coupon. The savings then comes in the form of your time, since you don’t have to go to the store!

My friends at BeCentsAble share a coupon for $20 off a visit to the vet for your pet. If this is something you’ve been putting off for awhile, what a great financial incentive to do it.

Baby Cheapskate details the ultra-modern and totally affordable line of baby furniture 2nds at Overstock. Fantastic price, practically free shipping, and more…

Right now you can pick up the modern Netto Cub Crib and Changing Station for just $199.95 and $149.95 respectively. Unbeatable. Except when you take $10 off orders of $250 or more by clicking this link (exp 2/28).

Both the crib and changing station are made from sustainably harvested wood. Both are non toxic and non VOC emitting. Both are also “slight seconds,” meaning that “there are very small imperfections to the finish.” You should also know that they’re non-returnable. Overstock says that the safety features of the crib are “in no way compromised.”

If you don’t have an IKEA near you, this is by far the best deal you’re going to find for an unfussy and eco-conscious nursery!

There have been lots of free food deals lately, including the coupon for a free Kashi frozen entre. Grab one while you can!

Dear Earth’s Best:

What’s up with the repeated sales on your infant formula in the period immediately FOLLOWING the time I was buying a case a week? I’m trying not to take this personally.

Smootches,

M

Ecobunga points out a printable coupon for Imagine Foods, which I also noticed were on sale at my Whole Foods this week. Not a bad deal for some comfort food to get us through these last few weeks of winter!

And lastly, Rite Aid seems to have taken over the mantle of weekly $5/$20 coupons. If you have one near you, enjoy!

sage finds: february 2, after many technical issues…

There has been a dearth of discounts, my friends. I tweeted at least one that was one day only, but besides that I’ve been waiting for that one thing that makes me feel like taking up a little more space in cyberspace by posting. It still hasn’t come, but I hate being a lousy blogger, so here I am…

Attention Target Shoppers shares that certain Method products are 3 for $8.00 this week. Print yourself a few of the Mambo Sprouts $0.50 off coupons and snag 3 for $6.50 instead. Not too shabby!

Plum Organics has a printable coupon up for $1 off kids meals. I’ve found their items are often on sale at my Whole Foods, so combined with a coupon it heads into “maybe we’ll give it a try” territory.

Last week, the blog $5 dinners reminded me that a great source for hard-to-find coupons (especially organics) is eBay. Now that I’m done buying formula, I’m thinking about how many gallons of whole milk we’re going to be going through each week, and how snatching up some Organic Valley coupons would probably be a good choice for me. And tomorrow? I’ll have the fruits of the two swaps I’ve participated in, one yesterday with adult goods and one happening tonight that is kids clothes only, both held at local businesses in our neighborhood. SO excited, even just with the bounty from yesterday. (Small preview, someone brought 3 trash bags full of fabric…!)

Mir at Want Not details a great price on Organic Valley milk boxes:

But look what I just discovered—they’re running a special on Organic Valley milk boxes right now! Packs of 24 are marked down to $25, plus you can use coupon code VALLEY55 to get another 20% off, so you’ll get 24 boxes of organic, aseptic milk for $20 (that’s about $.83/box).

“Deal”icious Mom posts about a free subscription to Kiwi Magazine, that also happens to come with $5 in Earth’s Best coupons. Seriously, don’t ever pay for a magazine subscription, okay? I get Kiwi, Wondertime, Family Fun, and Readymade for free, and so will you if you hunt around long enough.

And on the topic of Earth’s Best, they are offering a rebate deal right now for coupons, samples, toys and more, exactly the moment when I am no longer spending $100 on their products each week! It’s great to be done with formula, of course, but I could have gotten a lot of free stuff if they had started this promotion any earlier.

Bought anything at a cosmetics counter before you knew all the crap in conventional makeup? Like me, you’re probably entitled to some free products! Check out the list of products and then look at Skin Deep, the cosmetics safety database, to find something with ingredients you can live with. I’m looking at the Clinique Moisture Surge, myself. Here’s more information:

To be eligible for the money, you must “currently be a resident of the United States who purchased department store cosmetics in the United States between May 29, 1994 through July 16, 2003.”

For a list of which stores are involved in the suit, and how you can redeem your $25, visit the official lawsuit website at http://www.cosmeticssettlement.com/.

A day late, but because of some newly posted deals, certainly not a dollar short!

Grab a free sample of Barbara’s Bakery organic cereals and join the consumer panel for more sampling opportunities.

My home-away-from-home BeCentsAble beat me to reporting that Mambo Sprouts has their new online coupons up. Mambo Sprouts also promises more deals if you follow them on twitter! BeCentsAble also links to some great coupons at eatingwell.com. I could use extras of the method and Organic Valley coupons if you’re printing any of the others and won’t be using them :)

The new Whole Deal flyer (PDF) is out with Mambo Sprouts manufacturer’s coupons, too. I’ll be detailing all that can be found in there later this week. So much good stuff, generally combined with Whole Foods sale prices, making it all the more a value!

Additionally, Lynn at Organic Mania passes along a great rebate deal for organic baby food at SuperTarget:

Now when you buy any 4 Mom Made Meals or Munchies at SuperTarget by January 19th, you can redeem your UPC codes for a $9 SuperTarget gift card plus special savings codes from GDiapers and Bebe au Lait! Grab your rebate form and all the details here.

Savings on two things that I love and that happen to go well together (IMHO)…

Free Ben & Jerry’s! Here’s how it works (via From Wags to Riches):

First, I see on the ad preview that Ben and Jerry’s pints are 2/$6 next week, 1/4-1/9.

Now, go to this link and sign up to be a Chunk Spelunker (hehe!) and join the mailing list. They will then send you an email with a ‘bricks’ coupon (mine came in seconds) and you can print two of these by simply hitting the back button when you are done printing the first one. The coupon is for $3 off any pint of ice cream, frozen yogurt or sorbet.

So then you take yourself and your coupons down to our beloved Walgreens and get yourself two free pints! One for yourself and one to share. Or not. What you do with your ice cream is your business.

Didn’t get anything just for you for the holidays? Maybe a free magazine will make you feel a little better :) Answer a few questions and get 2 years of Wondertime free! (Thanks to Deal Seeking Mom for the info.)

a good start to a resolution

We’re talking about green resolutions tomorrow in the Green Space at BeCentsAble. If you’ll be headed to Walgreens anyhow, take advantage of this great deal on Energize battery rechargers (via Centsable Savings):

On sale for $7.99 with a $5 Walgreens rebate (#20) and a $5 manufacturer’s rebate. It appeared that the sale price would only be valid last week, and I wasn’t able to make it to the store to get it. Since the regular price is $9.99, though, it would still be free after both rebates.

I had some Register Rewards expiring, so I decided to go ahead and spend them on the charger. But when I got there I found that the sale price of $7.99 is valid all month, and there were also $2 peelies on the packages, making this deal a $4 moneymaker! (Pay $5.99, get back $10 worth of rebates.)

There were also $.50, $.75, and $1.00 coupons (depending on your region) in the 12/14 Smartsource if you can’t find the peelies.

So no excuses to keep using toxic disposable batteries when the charger and starter set is free! What a great deal!
