Take a short (and not serious) quiz at Organic Valley and be entered to win a year of free milk. Is that free milk for a household of 6? Because I have a feeling we’re going to be ging through a lot of milk pretty soon.

Target has some great baby specials this week. First, via Attention Target Shoppers, get a Free $5.00 Target Gift Card with the purchase of any 2 of products – including Born Free Feeding Bottles, Similac Powder (including Organic. Gerber Stage 2 double packs are 2 for $0.89. I’m hoping to swing into my store ASAP and see if that includes the organic line, too.

I haven’t used Bragg’s Liquid Aminos since our days at the dining co-op in undergrad, but I might grab a free sample just to see how I could incorporate some into our cooking now.

Have ezcema? Or perhaps triplets with ezcema? (Maybe that’s just me…) Baby Cheapskate shares a deal on Aquaphor. It kills me to be using something petroleum based on my little guys, but it’s better than the prescription steroid creams alternatives we’ve been presented with. Yuck.

Green Mom Finds has the coolest doormat made of recycled flip flops. I want one, but as usual, I more want to know how to make one!

Ecobunga is a site that lists all of the give aways to be found on blogs and direct from companies that have a green bent. They’re having their own give away, a chance at a Whole Foods gift card, for signing up to their newsletter.

Attention Target Shoppers points out a Target coupon for Horizon Organic Milk (half gallons) that can be stacked with the manufacturer’s coupon.

Don’t forget to save your receipts and get your Barnes and Noble giftcard! You can find participating items and instructions here. Offer expires on September 30.

Baby Cheapskate has a link to a $2/off coupon for Similac good only at Babies R Us.

We’re lucky to have public Montessori preschool available to us where we live, so it was a no brainer to send P there this fall. Baby Cheapskate has a post up today about creative and frugal preschool alternatives, including the brilliant:

Start up a home preschool group. Before my oldest was old enough for preschool we joined a group of moms who traded off childcare responsibilities in exchange for a (much-needed!) break. In our group of six, four mommies would enjoy a morning off and two would say with the children, provide a few enriching activities, playtime, and a snack before pick-up time. It provided the kids with invaluable social experience and the opportunity to learn some basic skills from adults other than their parents. It would be simple to expand this with more of a ‘preschool’ curriculum.

I have to find some mommy friends with infants right now so we can do something like this when the triplets are a little older!

Attention Target Shoppers has an array of links detailing when items at Target are marked down or go on clearance. I always knew that some people had access to this information, but I never knew where they got it from. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing for me to have learned about…

Leaving Excess gave me some good ideas for lunches, especially useful is the tip (via Everyday Food Storage) to freeze sandwiches, which will thaw by lunch time. Excellent, certainly a plan for my kid who loves tuna salad!

Wall art made from fabric and embroidery hoops? I’ll even do you one better, ohdeeoh, I’m going to embroider each of my son’s initials in three different ones to hang over their cribs. And I’m going to use my favorite outgrown baby clothes. Someday. When I have a little time. And can find my embroidery floss. :)

Because of the price of pesticides, more organic food will be produced, bringing down the price of organics overall? Fantastic news for our pocketbooks and the environment.

A rundown of green school supplies was posted over the weekend at Green Mom Finds. We start pre-K in a few weeks (at a public Montesorri school our city… how cool is that?) so I need to find the list and see if I can get any of these items locally before turning to online resources.

This week Target also has “Green Gear” school supplies on sale:

  • Maped 5 ct recycled pencils $1
  • Recycled 500 sheet multipurpose paper $3
  • 1″ recycled 3 ring binder $3
  • 15% off recycled portfolios and composition books

Based on the deals I’m seeing at Hy-Vee HealthMarket, I wish we had one near us!

Earthbound Farms Organic Romaine Salad is on sale for $2.88. Click here for a $1/1 coupon.

Cascadian Farms Cereal, Granola, or Granola Bars are on sale for $3.00. Click here to print an unlimited number of $1/1 coupons!

As usual, the coupons will work at Whole Foods or any other store, if you don’t happen to have this store near you, either.

Online surveys usually don’t pay off in terms of what you get for your time, but it looks like the CVS Advisor program, which pays in ExtraCare Bucks, might be an exception, according to Dealicious Mom:

Sign up here to become a CVS Advisor. If you haven’t done this already, this is a good way to earn approximately 10-15 dollars in ECBs every couple of weeks for taking short surveys. I have taken 3-4 surveys and I have been paid 10 or 15 dollars each time. The ECBs have printed out a few weeks later from the scanner in the store.
